Welcome to our research department at the Heart & Vascular Institute of Florida. We are dedicated to providing the most innovative and progressive medical care to our patients. By participating in clinical research activities sponsored by pharmaceutical and medical device companies, our investigators contribute to the advancement of medicine, and offer the latest drug and device development available. This keeps our physicians and participating hospitals on the cutting edge of the latest technology. Our patients at HAVI enjoy the benefits of this expertise and the extra special attention one gets when he/she participates in a clinical trial. The research team participates in both in-patient hospital trials and outpatient trials. Patients who participate in these trials receive investigational products at no cost.

We have conducted invasive and non invasive, Phase II, III and IV , inpatient and outpatient clinical trials. Our site has succeeded at meeting and exceeding enrollment goals in the following areas: hyperlipidemia, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure and arrhythmia. We expect upcoming clinical trials in the following areas: hyperlipidemia, arrhythmias, hypertension, myocardial infractions, and congestive heart failure.
